What will you do?

As a Strategic Project Manager – Renewable Energy you will bear the ultimate responsibility for successfully guiding and realising complex and strategic sustainable energy projects. Think of solar park Eekerpolder, the Closed Distribution System Avermieden or the hydrogen project H2 Hollandia.

From financing to the construction phase – you keep an overview and ensure that both internal teams and external stakeholders collaborate optimally. You manage the investment budget and advise the management team on key project and investment decisions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading projects with high complexity involving unknown factors, new markets and innovative technologies.
• Collaborating with various expert teams while maintaining an overarching vision.
• Maintaining relationships with external parties and independently negotiating contracts, financing and strategic partnerships.
• Managing the investment budget and advising management on strategic opportunities and risk management.
• Actively transferring knowledge, coaching and inspiring other Project Managers within the realisation team.
• Stimulating innovation and actively contributing to the development of new market strategies.
• Evaluating completed projects and implementing improvements.

Who are you?

• A completed Master’s degree, preferably with an economic or technical background.
• Extensive experience in project management and/or sustainable project development, with a focus on realisation.
• Knowledge of financing processes — you know the path to successful project financing.
• Strong communication and social skills, both in Dutch and English, with the ability to understand diverse stakeholders.
• A true team player who thrives on collaborating in project teams.
• A helicopter view and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Independence and decisiveness — you proactively make decisions and find practical solutions.
• Open to travelling to various office locations and projects, with a regular commitment of one day per week in Groningen.
