As Director Renewable Assets at Novar you will be responsible for the complete management and optimization of the value of our operational asset portfolio. You will develop and implement long-term strategies in collaboration with various internal departments such as finance, technical support and legal. 

You will ensure both the technical performance and financial optimization of our portfolio, which includes over 500 MWp of ground-mounted solar parks, more than 30 rooftop projects and initial systems for flexibility, grid infrastructure and heating. With the addition of new technologies like batteries and hydrogen, as well as international expansion, our portfolio is set to grow to over 1 GWp in near future. 

Your expertise and market insights will make you a valuable resource for Novar’s development department where new projects are initiated. You will advise on technical setups from a value-driven perspective and support the negotiation of new Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) or other forms of value creation. 

As Director Renewable Assets you will directly lead the team of Revenue Specialists. Together, you are responsible for the optimization of the financial performance of our assets. You will also act as Novar’s representative towards Klaer, our subsidiary, responsible for technical and commercial asset management. 

Additionally, you will be part of Novar’s management team, contributing to the company’s overall strategy. Your input will help shaping key decisions, ensuring the right balance between risk and return. 

Who are you?

You are a proactive and results-driven leader who thinks strategically and acts practically. You inspire and motivate employees and your positive attitude, dedication and drive align perfectly with our core values. Additionally, you bring: 

• A completed master’s degree, preferably in fields such as (Technical) Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar; 
• At least 10 years of experience in asset or portfolio management within the energy sector or another operational environment; 
• Experience managing complex operational assets, ideally in energy, infrastructure or industry; 
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, risk management and process optimization; 
• Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management in both English and Dutch; 
• The ability to interpret and understand agreements and contracts; 
• Experience with advanced software tools for data analysis and asset management.
